Do I need an appointment?

Not strictly. Walk-ins are welcome and we recommend booking anyway, because a named therapist or a two hour slot rarely survives being asked for at the door. Same-day openings turn up often, so a call to (801) 288-1118 in the morning is usually all it takes.

Can I request a man or a woman?

Yes, and you should say so when you book rather than when you arrive. We staff licensed therapists of both, specifically so that preference can be met. Nobody will ask you to explain the reason.

Are your therapists actually licensed?

Every one of them is licensed by Utah's Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing to practice massage therapy, and that license is current, not lapsed. They also carry full professional liability insurance. They are vetted for conduct as a condition of working here. Sheets and coverings are changed and sanitized between every single client.

Why does paying by card cost more?

Card transactions carry a $5 processing fee at our counter. Cash does not. We put that in writing everywhere rather than absorbing it silently into a higher headline price.

Is deep tissue more expensive than your other massage?

No. It runs $85, $125, and $165 for sixty, ninety, and one hundred twenty minutes, the same as Swedish, sports, shiatsu, ashiatsu, and myofascial release. Choose based on what your body needs, not on cost.

How late can I come in?

The studio runs ten in the morning to ten at night, every day of the week. Evening slots are popular, so book those earlier in the day.

Do you do facials, head spa, or reflexology?

No. We are a massage studio under Utah massage licensure and nothing else. Those live at Elite Spa Utah, 1136 S State Street, which is run by the same people, and we will pass along their details if you want them.

Is parking going to be a problem?

It will not. There is free parking at our building on 677 S 200 W. You are not paying a meter or hunting a garage.

Can a couple book deep tissue together?

Yes. Both of you are in one private suite with a therapist each, and you do not have to pick the same style. One partner can take deep tissue while the other takes something lighter. Couples pricing is per couple: $165, $245, or $325 by length.

Does asking for deeper pressure cost extra?

No. The deep pressure upgrade carries no additional charge and you pay the regular session price for it. Pressure is a conversation with your therapist, not a paid tier.

Can I book the infrared sauna by itself?

Yes. Thirty minutes of infrared is $30 whether it sits beside a massage or stands alone on the schedule.

What is normal for tipping here?

A tip is recommended and it is never required. Twenty percent is the customary figure at a service business, and nobody at this counter treats it as owed.

What happens if I cancel?

A session cancelled inside the twenty-four hours before it starts is not refunded. Tell us the moment a plan changes and you stay on the right side of that line.

Should I get deep tissue if I have an injury or a health condition?

Ask your doctor first, then tell your therapist what they said. We are not a medical clinic. Massage here relieves muscular tension, and we do not diagnose anything or claim to treat a condition. A therapist who does not know about a recent surgery, a pregnancy, or a flare-up cannot work around it.

What about gift cards?

Any dollar amount, or a specific service, and they do not expire.

Are you the same business as J Massage SLC?

Yes. This site covers one service in depth. The studio, the therapists, and the 4.4 star rating across 516 Google reviews all belong to J Massage SLC, which has been open at this address since 2017.
