Sandy sits roughly twenty minutes south of us. Straight up I-15 to the 600 South exit, or up State Street if the freeway is behaving badly, and you are at 677 S 200 W Suite #C. That drive is short enough that plenty of our regulars live in the south valley and think of us as their local studio, even though the address says downtown.

The geography works in Sandy's favor for one specific reason. The canyon roads that climb to Utah's ski country start a few minutes east of you, which means a Sandy address is one of the shortest possible distances between a hard day on snow and a table. Come down the canyon, get on the freeway, and the drive is over before your legs have fully stiffened up. We take the last appointments of the day at ten at night, so the timing works even when the last chair ran late and dinner ran later.

That late window is the practical argument for making the drive at all. A lot of studios closer to Sandy stop taking clients in the early evening. We are open ten to ten, every day including Sunday, which turns a twenty minute drive into something you can do after work, after the kids are handled, or after a Saturday that got away from you. Twenty minutes at eight at night is a different trip than twenty minutes at five.

What Sandy clients usually come in for splits cleanly. Half of it is recreation: legs from skiing and boarding in winter, legs and low backs from hiking and riding in summer, shoulders from golf. Mason A. left us a review after thirty-six holes left him barely able to move, and that is a very south valley story. The other half is commute and desk related, and the tension pattern looks the same as everyone else's, just with more time in a car attached to it. Long drives lock hip flexors and press the lower back into one fixed angle, and it shows up on the table.

Prices are the same for you as for anyone walking in from two blocks away, and the drive buys you nothing extra either way. An hour of deep tissue costs $85. Ninety minutes costs $125. The full two hours costs $165. Card payments add a $5 processing fee, cash adds nothing. Parking at our building is free and immediate, which is worth knowing if your mental picture of downtown involves circling for a space.

Book ahead if you are driving in from Sandy. Same-day openings happen often, but a twenty minute trip is worth protecting with a phone call to (801) 288-1118 rather than a hopeful arrival. Tell us whether you want a male or female therapist when you book. We staff both, every therapist holds an active Utah DOPL massage license, and we would rather set that up front than have you sort it out at the door.
